Collections Hooks and Probing for early pay dates and bonus
Effective Probing
- Ensure to probe for December Salary and Bonus dates (Mr debtor on what date do you receive your salary /bonus in December)
- Refrain from asking open ended questions (such as are you receiving a bonus, rather ask WHEN are you receiving your bonus? )
- Sell settlements effectively as most debtor’s receive their bonuses early in December
- Remember to probe and capture your arrangement before the debtor has the chance to send his money on his Christmas shopping
- Be smart and activate a Debi Check as this is a guaranteed payment in your pocket

Debi – Check is a secure debit order payment system that allows you to electronically approve your debit order details. This will prevent fraudulent debit orders from being processed, giving you more control over your finances.
What is the purpose of Debi-Check?
A Debi – Check collection is one that the [debtor] confirms electronically on a once-off basis at the start of the contract. Its purpose is for the debtor to confirm and authenticate [approve] the details of the collection [debit order] with his bank prior to any collections being made.
Why is Debi-check so important
Debi – Check ensures that debtors are in control of and aware of debit orders being processed to their bank account. Additionally, it provides the company or service provider that debtors are dealing with, with the comfort of knowing that the debtor has acknowledged and is aware of these debit orders.
